This book thong is made up of mellow aqua and blue beads. The beads are made of different materials: glass, plastic, and polymer clay. They’re double-strung on turquoise and white cotton thread. Most of the beads have been upcycled. The book thong is long enough to stretch across a hardcover book.
Why is it called a book thong? It lays inside the spine of a book, holding your place like a bookmarker, well, like a thong. However, it won’t accidentally slip out of place and you don’t have to remove it while you read. Finally, it won’t bend, indent, or mark your pages due to its slim design.
It makes a great gift. Think about it: you buy a book for somebody but that just doesn’t feel like enough. Throw a book thong in there for that added special touch. Moreover, it makes a good gift for groups: book clubs, bridesmaids, children’s classrooms, teachers, coworkers.
